Agnès DIVINE

INTRODUCTION

Agnès Divine is a young woman from Kéla par Ntui in Mbam and Kim, central region of Cameroon. She is the 5th child in a line of 10, she stands out from the others by her love of singing, which she gets from her mother who was director of the village parish choir in her youth.

Agnès Divine is a composition of 2 first names: Divine is the first name of her tender and charming daughter and Agnès is taken from MESSINA Agnès which is the real name of the artist Agnès Divine.

She draws inspiration from the word of God, and from the trials she has gone through, from her life in general, to share with her audience the benefits of God in her life.

Even more through his hymns, would like that afflicted souls find consolation in God alone, and that those who rejoice do so in God and in the way that the word of God teaches.

Worship God in spirit and in truth with your life.

Through song, transmit to others the joy that salvation in Jesus Christ brings.

HER JOURNEY

From her early childhood, she was attached to singing and joined the small choir of her village Kéla at the age of 10.

 She arrived in Douala in 1994 and, from then on, her love for music increased.

02 years later, she started Sunday school in a Pentecostal assembly called Reoboth Ministry and it was then that her instructor discovered in her an excellent singer.  

In 1998, the church formed a young music group called Messengers of Christ and it quickly became the centerpiece of the group during various events at the church. That year is forever etched in her memory because she was first inspired and wrote her song (he recreated me) when she was only 14.

From then on, the Lord inspired him to sing songs that were sung in the group until 2003.

Having had a slump and difficult times, she only started writing songs again in 2010 and realized that within her burned the desire to sing for God and to share her inspirations with others and to enrich the catalog of Cameroonian gospel.

In 2011, her brother-in-law Jaco, who has always been a great support for her in difficult times, decided to introduce her to a production house called NEW AGE MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT and, that day after auditioning her, the decision was made to produce her and this is how she signed her very first artistic contract for the release of her very first album entitled "the hymns of my life" released in August 2013.

This album was made possible thanks to someone who believed in her and whom God put on her path when she had already despaired and given up.

This person is none other than Etienne N. PARISH, who is his producer, composer, arranger and also his artistic advisor given the experience he has accumulated over several years.

ALBUM HISTORY

1-    I will be there

Was written in 2001 while I was being persecuted. With this song I wanted to tell God that I will always serve him in good days and bad.

2-    He recreated me

Is the very first song that I wrote in my life in 1994 when I had just met the Lord. I had become a new creature.

3-    My absolute

Written in 2010 and having seen that my love for him grew, given that everything in us must serve God, I asked God in my prayer to be my everything, my absolute.

4- Fully filled

Written in 2011, this song is just an expression of the feelings that were in my heart seeing the spirit of God reveal all of his word to me in these last days.

5-    The story of my life

Written in 2010, it is the story of my Christian life which goes from my conversion to the difficulties that every child of God can have. But Jesus the Lord always reassures me.

6-    The blood of Jesus

Written in 2010, with this song I call everyone to recognize Jesus as Savior and to come and hide under his blood which cleanses us from all sin, because there is still time.

7-    Timba na songo

Written in 2012, in this song, I ask all the children of God who have deserted and abandoned the path, to return to their father because he cannot reject those who come to him repentant.

8-    Everything is possible

Written in 2012, I would like to make God's children understand that they must believe until God fulfills his promise for each of them.

9-    God in the form of blessing

Written in 2011, this song expresses the sorrows and sorrows of my soul due to the trials I am going through, and I also know that God is hidden behind everything and there, I find my true consolation.

         10-   I dance for Jesus

Written in 2012, it is just a reflection of my joy in the face of the power of God and his unspeakable wonders.

QUESTIONS / ANSWERS

1-    Who is Agnès Divine?

I am a young servant of the Lord who loves to worship the Lord and write songs for His glory.

2-    How did you get into music?

I already loved singing from my childhood but, after being discovered and encouraged by my instructor (aunty Régine) whom I will never forget. This is how the love of music grew in me and, having become a Christian, I only wanted to sing for God.

3-    Where do you get your inspiration from?

From the word of God that helps me through all the trials of life and always achieve victory.

4-    What are the difficulties you encounter?

It is very difficult to trust someone you don't know. So you have to be patient and wait for the public to absorb your work and then be rewarded by God.

5-    Is it easy to be a Christian artist?

It is not just easy to be an artist in general and even less a Christian artist because in our country, gospel has not yet been appreciated at its true value.

6-    Is the Christian life easy for you?

No, the Christian path is difficult, everyday trials are not easy to overcome. It is very difficult to resist temptation but fortunately the powerful hand of God always delivers me from it.

7-    What advice would you give to those who want to follow your example?

If God has placed a dream in your heart, keep it as a treasure and then pray and persevere until God puts in your path someone who believes in you and who will help you realize your dream. Above all, reassure yourself that it comes from God. Make him the center of your life and wait for him to fulfill his promise.

Nothing is impossible for God. Only believe and he will act in due time and God bless you, AMEN.
